Program 07 · Arts & Community
Dance, art and sport help children express themselves, strengthen confidence and discover what becomes possible when a community celebrates their talent.

Founded in Kamwokya in October 2023, DB Kids offers regular training in African dance, street dance and traditional dance for children with talent and drive.
Training takes place three times each week, with holiday intensives and an annual dance camp. Tuition scholarships issued each term help young dancers continue their education alongside their artistic growth.

The annual community celebration has now been held four times, bringing together football, dance, visual art and playful competition.
The 2025 theme, “Weaving Together,” featured 72 children across six football teams, seven competing dance groups and an exhibition where children told stories of their lives through art.

Six teams took part in the 2025 community football competition.
Young performers shared one stage at the fourth community carnival.
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity, encouragement and a place to be seen are not.
Arts and community programs create positive routines, friendships and visible pathways for young people. Scholarships ensure that celebration of talent stays connected to progress in school.
